In 1924, Frank K. Everest, began an electrical contracting firm and was in
continuous operation as a proprietorship until the firm was incorporated in 1949
as F.K. Everest, Inc. Thomas M. Pendergast and Brian K. Wilson were
instrumental in the operation of this young company. With competitive
quotes and excellent work, this company began to grow. The company became
a charter member of the National Electrical Contractors Association (N.E.C.A) in
1948. Mr. Everest retired in 1960, and the business was taken over by Mr.
Pendergast and Mr. Wilson as co-owners. With their professionalism the
company continued to grow and prosper. Mr. Pendergast and Mr. Wilson hired Mr. Daniel Bane as an estimator in 1972.Together these gentlemen did projects such
as:  First National Bank (now known as WesBanco), East Fairmont, Drive
Thru, the Monongalia Courthouse , Fourco Glass Plant, and Etam Station just to
name a few. Mr. Wilson retired from the office in 1985. Under Mr.
Pendergast the company preserved doing work for: McDonalds, North American
Philips, West Virginia University, Alcan Rolled Products, and Pratt
Whitney. In 1990, Mr. Bane and a group of investors purchased F.K. Everest, Inc. from Mr. Pendergast, Dan was named President. With Mr. Bane's excellent experience and abilities and the exemplary work by IBEW Electricians, FKE has continued to flourish.Completing projects such as: Ruby Memorial Hospital, WVU Intramural Field Lighting, University High School, Ritchie County High School, Mason-Dixon Elementary, Preston Co. High School, Westwood Middle/Elementary School, Bruce Hardwood Floors, WVU Steamline, WVU Poultry Research, WVU Daily Athenaeum, Grant Town Power Station, Harrison Power Station, Albright Power Station CEM Installation, American Fiber Resources, and several more. During the transition of Mr. Bane taking over the helm, Chris Rush was hired to purchase material, estimate and manage projects in 1991. The estimating staff was
increased once again in 1995 with the addition of James Bane, former field
electrician. Since 1990 F.K. Everest, Inc. has grown 300% and the quality
of work still remains excellent with the help of IBEW electricians. In
1997, Chad Hager was hired as Safety Coordinator and Purchaser. In January
2000, Ryan Eddy joined the staff specializing in estimating. With great
pride, F.K. Everest, Inc. has been able to maintain a large number of customers
for many years. Currently performing work for AFG/Fourco where several
years were spent when F.K. Everest, Inc. was a young company. Work for
Alcan Rolled Products is very much a part of the companies past and present
business, as is work for Allegheny Power in their offices and their power
plants.  F.K. Everest, Inc. has received much praise from local hospitals,
and is currently performing work at Ruby Memorial Hospital. F.K. Everest,
Inc. has been doing electrical maintenance work for Fairmont Specialty Services
since the opening of the plant in 1990. In 1995 the company began working
at the WV High Tech Consortium and have remained there since that date working
on various jobs. As a result of the quality work from its IBEW Electricians
and its professional relationships with its customers, F.K. Everest, Inc. is very proud of its excellent reputation in the Electrical Contracting Industry.
